Sunflower Montessori was established in 2001 and since then we have had the pleasure of working with the most amazing educators.
The daily experience we offer children and the overall quality we provide depends on our staff having appropriate qualifications, training, skills, knowledge and a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities. Our qualified staff come from many different countries and we are proud to have such an international team.
In 2023, the Sunflower crèches and afterschool clubs have joined the Babilou Family Luxembourg network, experts in early childhood. Committed to the proper development of the children entrusted to them, each professional is engaged to offering them security, affection and enrichment.
Sunflower staff take part in various internal and external training programs. This allows them to learn more about the Montessori philosophy, become familiar with the materials, acquire new skills, and to update and develop competences in specific fields of non-formal education.
Sunflower currently has two members of staff who are specifically responsible for training. The Montessori Education Teacher Trainer and the Early Years Training Specialist are both highly qualified educators with considerable experience. They have developed a full range of in-house training programs which have been accredited by the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth (Ministère de l’Éducation nationale, de l’Enfance et de la Jeunesse).
Our in-house Montessori Education Teacher Trainer regularly visits each classroom to ensure a high standard of Montessori education is maintained in our crèches and After-School clubs. Staff also attend external training courses provided by our Training Partners, First Aid courses, Montessori seminars and other childcare forums.
